Sociology - Academic Advising and Enrollment
FAQs · Enrollment · Campus Resources and Links · Careers
The Sociology/Criminology faculty and advising staff are committed to helping you achieve your educational goals. You are encouraged to confer with your academic advisor concerning general education and graduation requirements, academic policies and procedures, course selection and registration, the development of 4-year graduation plans, the use of transfer credits, campus life, major and career exploration, and more.
Each Sociology/Criminology major is assigned both a curriculum and a career advisor, and automatically becomes a member of the undergraduate sociology listserv.
Further, all students are expected to be familiar with the College of Arts and Sciences' statement on Advisor and Advisee responsibilities. These can be found at: http://www.k-state.edu/advising/AdvisorInfo/newAdvisor.htm
You should meet with your curriculum advisor at least once each semester to plan a schedule for the following term. At the conclusion of this meeting the advisor will lift your enrollment flag so that you may enroll online. The lead Sociology advisor, Lynne Davy, is available to answer questions from all Sociology students, regardless of advisor assignment.
